If you have ever worn Carhartt before you know the durability, quality and extended period of time that the garment will last with proper care of it. Since Carhartt has launched it’s first line a few years ago, they have taken quality product that people are use to and added a safety element in making its flame-resistant houston astros polo line. Their ways of discovering what the customer like and dislike has their catalog featuring new and different each spring and fall season. The Carhartt pocket t-shirt (K87) has been around for many years and although they aren’t getting rid of it, they’ve developed a lighter weight version (K284) for the warmer months of the year. Their continuing to innovate and adapt to changing customer demands but lets explore where they could be headed next.
This spring Carhartt introduced quite a bit of new styles to their extensive line-up of flame-resistant pants. The new flame-resistant relaxed-fit jean (FRB100) is a lightweight pant for the slender worker who prefers denim pants. If you like more room in the seat and thigh of your pant, the flame-resistant twill work pant (FRB002) or the flame-resistant canvas cargo pant (FRB240) is what you need to be getting a pair of. Both of these pants offer a lightweight fabric which is more suitable for the warm summer months than your 13 or 14-oz pants. The canvas cargo pant also gives you a lot of storage space with the cargo pockets located on the outside of each leg. What could Carhartt possibly be missing? The answer is a double-front flame-resistant pant. Many workers enjoyed wearing the double-front work dungarees before OSHA regulations forced them to wear flame-resistant clothing. If Carhartt would come out with a double-front dungaree many of those workers would be wearing them. If the company isn’t providing the worker with comfortable houston astros polo to meet the requirement this pant would be the pant of choice by many of the workers.
In a previous article I stated that Carhartt added a los angeles clippers t shirt to their lineup this spring that has a Lanyard Access Jacket for those workers who need the ability to attach to a safety harness. This upgrade to the los angeles clippers t shirt most likely came from guys who wear the product suggesting that they incorporate it. What could Carhartt do to their jackets to reach out to their customers and increase their comfort on the jobsite? There are two areas we believe Carhartt could include to do so. High visibility flame-resistant would allow the workers who need to be wearing both to shed that nagging high-visibility vest that could get caught up on something if it’s too loose. And then would waterproof flame-resistant be the next step? One can only wonder and that’s why we’ll leave the innovation up to Carhartt. Although flame-resistant has come a long ways as you can see, you never know what they have up their sleeve, whether it’s a short or long one.
