Chris Clanton is an American actor. He had a recurring role as Savino Bratton in seasons 1 and 5 of The Wire. He is credited as Christopher J. Clanton in the fifth season. He also had an uncredited role in The Corner as a street kid. Chris played the lead character Torn Pettigrew in the 2009 independent film TORN which was written and directed by Richard Johnson and produced by Corey Williams.

In 2015, Clanton appeared in Tom Six’s Dutch horror film The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence). Since 2002 he is the owner of the Independent film company NEVER ENOUGH Films. In 2014, he also founded Hunted Foxx Entertainment a boutique production company with a focus on indie films.

Clanton was hospitalized after being shot in the ear Thursday, Baltimore police say. Chris Clanton is recovering after the actor was shot and hospitalized in Baltimore on Thursday, according to city police.

Clanton, best known for his role in the HBO series The Wire, was treated and discharged after being shot in the ear around 7 p.m. that day, as reported by TMZ. Details of what led to the shooting and whether Clanton was an intended target are unknown at this time.

Chris was injured in the incident that is said to have occurred at approximately 7 pm on Thursday in the US city of Baltimore. Initial reports have said it is unclear if the actor had been specifically targeted in the shooting – but have confirmed the actor has been discharged from hospital after treatment for his injury.

TMZ reported on Friday night about the incident, stating a police investigation is underway about the shooting. A spokesperson for the Baltimore Police Department told the outlet that officers are: “investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday around 7 PM, and a 35-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the ear.”

They added that: “medics responded and took the victim to a hospital for treatment.” The city’s Northeast District Shooting detectives and Baltimore’s Metro Crime Stoppers have appealed for information from the public.
