The best-known designers of the moment presented their latest creations dedicated to men in Milan and Florence. This year, the famous fashion houses bet on luxury and elegance. Donatella Versace suggests a line of suits which have a subtle rock touch. There are not bright colours or golden accessories, but we can still see the polished shoes.
On the other hand, the Prada men are dressed up in new fabrics, such as silk or leather, in colours which are different from the ones promoted in the prior collections. The pants are made of dreadnought, they have a low waist and they are tight. The shirts are still the main attraction point. Bottega Veneta emphasizes the details and uses shades of green, brownish, dirty white and beige. Also, we will be seeing a lot of camel leather jackets, as well as a lot of luxurious accessories.
When it comes to Armani, this designer combines the classic style with the sporty one, the tight pants or the suit pants being worn with sporty blouses which go over the shirt. Black is the main colour as it has a calming effect and it is still the most appreciated colour of them all. The Armani clothes suggested for this year are inspired by the 30s and represent a combination between elegance and eccentricity.
Roberto Cavalli takes men to the Wild Wild West, his line including snake leather pants, rock leather boots and massive belts. This may sound like a very crowded collection, but it is as balanced as it can be for a man who is self-confident and who likes being fashionable.
Last but not least, Rick Owens launches all kinds of clothes in shades of grey, but which aren’t very aggressive. The designer has two collections: the skateboard one and the formal one. Th start of his collections is the long coat with a military design.
