Missing – Searching

Authorities have stated that they were able to track their movements using the cell phone’s GPS, which led them to the parking lot near the hiking trail. Unfortunately, they only found her yellow Volkswagen Beetle, not her. “We want to put closure on the family in some form, shape or fashion, the best we can,” said Kurtis Timmer, Head of the South-Central Palestinian Authority Search and Rescue Team. “We want to make sure we do the best we can to get that person home,” Timer added.

In the past few days, 150 volunteers have landed with dogs running every inch of a half-mile radius around Glatfelter Station. The Pennsylvania State Police even brought in horses and helicopters to aid in the search.

On Tuesday, March 9, police officer Kevin Kochka said no formal searches were planned for Ebaugh, 29, of New Freedom. Authorities decided to suspend the search while investigators searched for more clues. “The initial investigation revealed that her disappearance was not suspicious/criminal in nature at this time,” Kochka said. “Obviously, there is more to our investigation than we know, however, because it is an ongoing investigation that we cannot disclose. We are continuing our investigation and we are following the leads that we have developed.”
