Though they are not the biggest seller on eBay it does show the potential that can be made. The money is available, the buyers are online, the real question is where do I get something to sell? Here is your answer:

What should I sell?

This is entirely up to you, but here are some things to consider. You should sell something you really enjoy and have considerable knowledge about. More eBayers lose money out of sheer ignorance than any other reason. First decide on a product you like and see how well it sales on the site. Check out how many people are selling it, and if you are knowledgeable about the product guess what kind of return they are making on the investment. eBay is a different market place all together, if something is hot other places it may not be on eBay. But the downside to dropshippers is ALOT of eBay sellers use them. The prices most of the time generally aren’t that great, and you are charged a fee.

Other than ways suggested by eBay you can do try some other very profitable techniques.

1. Become the neighborhood dropshop.

This is very successful, send out flyers around your neighborhood and have people drop off items at your house. When you sell it give them a cut of the profits minus fees.

2. Sell internationally.

eBay has a number of international sites such as eBay UK and eBay Australia. Your household items, and things you buy at Wal-mart sell very well on these sites. Shipping charges and time will be your main enemy on these sites.

3. Go prospecting.

Many small business’ would love to do online auctions but don’t have the resources or the time. If you can put together a business plan showing what kind of asset you could be, you may get the inventory you need and a full time job!
